Turglequest Remastered

TURGLEQUEST REMASTERED is a remake of an old game I made over the pandemic, about a young woman who wakes up in a strange place and must face three trials - one of logical strength, emotional strength, and physical strength - in order to reach the Gate and escape back home. This version is a complete and absolute overhaul - new maps, new story, new characters, new dialogue, new soundtrack, etc. 

It's your standard 'quirky-Earthbound-inspired-RPG' faire. Talk to characters, explore and poke around at things to learn more about the world, fight monsters, etc. It's a little bit grindy, and I have taken steps to alleviate that problem in the early game, but it'll likely require some levelling before you're ready to face the Guardians of the challenges. There's more to the game's story than the simplistic description, but I'd rather let you find that out for yourself. The game generally takes me around 3 hours to play, but I've heard it take longer for some people.  There's credits in the game towards the end, but this was made in RPG Maker VX Ace with finalbossblues's Omega Modern graphics pack. Custom spritework done by me and Kaleidocat. Music is sourced from a lot of Nintendo and indie game soundtracks I liked, as well as from Electric Light Orchestra (who you'll see a lot of influence from in the game). The specific track names are in the credits at the game's end.
